The HRM, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburé of Ikorodu has met with all Chief Priests in Ikorodu and have come to a conclusion that there will be no Oro Festival in Ikorodu this Saturday, June 6, 2020 because of COVID-19.
According to Rasheed Fatuga, Founder, Ikorodu Ambassadors Group, all Priests involve in the Oro Festival will worship and make their sacrifices in their various shrines and place of worship.
All Residents of Ikorodu (Indigenous and Non-Indigenous, Male, Female, Young and Old) can move around freely, but observe Social Distancing.
He admonishes all residents in Ikorodu not to panic, but continue with their work and daily activities; he added that all children are safe, and residents should not believe or spread any rumor about Oro (Isemo) Festival coming up this Saturday.
